Condominium Flood

If your home or accompanying condominium is equipped with a central air conditioning system you may have noticed a drain line on the outside dripping water near the air conditioner. This line drains condensation from the inside air handler to the outside. If this line clogs (usually from algae) it can cause water damage inside the home or condominium.

This particular customer lived on the bottom floor of a seven story condominium complex. The air conditioning system has an exterior unit on the roof of the building and the interior unit is adjacent to the laundry room.

SERVPRO of High Point was called in to access the water damage evident in the laundry room area. It was determined that the flooring could not be adequately dried out for salvage, so the laminate flooring was removed and replaced, upgrading the flooring to ceramic tile per the homeowner’s request.
