Kitchen Sink Drain

This picture reflects what happens when there is a broken pipe under the house that leaked into the crawlspace from a kitchen sink drain. This is considered a Category 3 water loss which required PPE and special procedures. Cat 3 water losses have to be handled with extreme caution due to the bacterial content of the water.  SERVPRO of High Point pumped out the contaminated water and took fifteen bag fulls of sludge from this area and replaced with fifteen bags of lime.  Lime helps with the drying and deodorization process.  We also fogged the area to help with the odor neutralization.
